“ Came here yesterday and again today because I wanted to try more menu items. Hard to find fish porridge done so well! Tea egg was on point. The fresh soy milk was made reeeeal fresh and it shows. I don’t know how they got the rice roll layers so thin. And the you tiao was really springy and not too oily. Also the space is airy and bright. Very welcoming and chill. Yeah definitely a new go-to for me! ”
“ The food here was really good and so does the service. The restaurant was clean and very comfortable when i entered. The portion was average. I only tried a few dishes this time but will go back again to try more. Definitely recommend this to friends and family. ”
“ So excited that Chinatown has a rice roll restaurant! There is ample seating and the ordering process through the QR code is seamless. The rolls are so soft and flavorful. The congee and noodle soup were also delicious. Don’t forget to try a soy milk or milk tea :) we cannot wait to return. ”
“ Rolled in here on a rainy day and had a surprisingly amazing meal. Shrimp and beef rice roll (add the lettuce, trust) blew my mind. The texture is so soft on the outside and then you get the shrimp and beef, with the crunch of the lettuce. I ate over half of it before remembering to take a photo. Also got the HK Style Milk Tea w/ coffee and it’s the perfect blend of nuttiness with my morning coffee. ”
“ I’ve been waiting for rice rolls to come to Philly and I’m happy to report these hit the spot! The rice rolls are so fresh, soft, & flavorful. The prices aren’t as low as some places in NYC china town, but 8 isn’t bad either. I can’t wait to come back! The staff is also very friendly & accommodated putting the sauce on the side (not pictured) for my bf’s rolls since he is gluten free. ”
“ Whenever I need hearty southern Chinese food, I choose this place. They have really good porridge and soup, also cheung fun! Every food they have is good for warming your tummy. ”
“ Went to the soft opening today when it opened. The interior reminded me greatly of guangzhou breakfast shops. Very clean and authentic. The service was pleasant as well. Their rice rolls are made fresh and they also offer a variety of breakfast items like congee. The location is kind of hidden. It’s behind the fire station next to the retirement home. ”
“ I stopped by Yin Ji Rice Roll on a Friday afternoon and had a delightful lunch! As soon as I walked in, I was warmly welcomed, quickly seated, and given a glass of water. Ordering was easy through the QR code at the table, and the food came out incredibly fast. I started with the cucumber salad, which was refreshing and flavorful- perfect to kick off the meal. I followed it up with the shrimp and pork rice rolls, both of which were excellent. I’m a big fan of rice rolls from NYC’s Chinatown, so I was thrilled when Yin Ji opened in philly, and they absolutely delivered. The texture was just right, and the fillings were generous. Plus, the sauces are ready at the table to customize each bite. For under 20, I left full and happy! ”
